Challenge yourself with these 7 save ideas for your short-term career playthroughs, using the all-new tools and season customisation features in Update 1.11.

Control every aspect of the grid, from your rival’s drivers and race engineers to the rules and regulations of the season!

01 - Mad Scientist

Put all your time, effort and money into developing cutting-edge car parts that will dominate over the other cars on the grid. With all your budget for the season spent on technical development, you’ll have to consider which staff and drivers are worth taking on.

Rules

• Start the season with any drivers and a mid-range budget: £15 million.
• Use your entire budget on research, development and manufacturing new and improved car parts.
• Don’t break the cost cap.

Extra

Work your factories to the limit and request a rush on all new parts you develop. Use all your testing hours in every development period to build a stock of high-quality parts that push the envelope.

Season customisation allows you to edit the rules and regulations around Aerodynamic testing and Powertrain limits. Tweak the regs and improve your car further... just remember the other constructors will have the same opportunity.

02 - Heritage Hero

The Formula 1® calendar has some historic races; can you make your own history and win three of the most renowned races all in the same season? Become the underdog of F1® and win the title of Heritage Hero while breaking into the sport as the new 11^th Constructor.

Rules

• Use Create A Team and start the season with any drivers and a mid-range budget: £15 million.
• Win the Italian, Belgian and Monaco Grand Prix in the same season.
• If you get fired by the board, restart the challenge.

Extra

Season customisation now lets you adjust the race calendar, reducing the number of races down to a minimum of 8.

Give your team the best chance to win the title of Heritage Hero with 5 prep races and then take on the Italian, Belgian and Monaco Grand Prix back-to-back.

03 - Switch It Up

Turn the grid completely on its head by moving every driver around to new seats... and maybe add in some new ones!

Season customisation allows you to alter the driver and staff line-ups of all the competing teams. Play around with the available seats and place drivers wherever you like! Bring back iconic pairings or put that specific driver with a team you’ve always wanted to see them drive for.

• Alter the driver selections for all the teams on the grid, including your own using season customisation.
• Make sure each team has different drivers in both seats to the ones they started with. You can pick from current F1® drivers, F2™ to make up the teams.
• Win the WCC with your 11^th team in a single season.

Extra

Only place one driver with each team, including your own, and let silly season fill in the gaps! See if you can work with the hand you’ve been dealt and still fuel your team to the top of the podium.

04 - Rising Stars

You have generous backing and all the money you might need to build the best team on the grid, but you're starting out with Formula 1® rookies. Put your management skills to the test and guide these rising stars through their first season and pull off a 1-2 win in the WDC with your fresh talent.

Rules

• Start the season with 1st, 2nd and affiliate drivers who are all Formula 1® rookies.
• Have one of your rookies win the Drivers' Championship by the end of the season.

Extra

Push this challenge a step further and aim to win both the Constructors’ and Drivers' Championship with a 1-2 finish.

05 - National Pride

Nothing is more satisfying for a driver than a home win... unless it was a home win for the whole team! Bring a team back to its roots and recruit only drivers from the team's nation of origin.

Rules

• Your 1st, 2nd and reserve drivers must be the same nationality as the team’s nation of origin.
• You can use both generated and existing drivers to make up your team.
• Recruit affiliate drivers from your team’s home country to continue the streak.

Extra

If you want to really make sure your team feels that national pride, get as many home race wins over as many seasons as you can!

This will be slightly harder for teams like Ferrari, as there are a couple of Italian races in the calendar, but that also means more opportunities to bring home a trophy.

06 - Good Press

Can you fuel your team to glory while pushing them into the limelight as much as possible? Develop your team's marketability through top-quality sponsorships to build your revenue stream outside of races, while still running a successful racing team.

Rules

• Ensure you take full advantage of every cycle of sponsorship opportunities (8 in total throughout the race calendar) and select activities to fill the full 6 weeks every time.
• Focus on activities that will drive engagement funding over race day and upfront funding.
• If you get fired by the Board, start the season again.

Extra

If your facilities and staff allow it, choose a secondary sponsor whenever possible to continue to push that engagement funding to the limit.

07 - The Old Guard

Wisdom and skill come with experience and there’s none more experienced than the older drivers on the grid. Show everyone why your drivers have earned their acclaim and win at least one WCC with 1^st and 2^nd drivers, both over the age of 30.

Rules

• Your 1st, 2nd and affiliate Drivers must all be over the age of 30. You can use either current drivers or generated drivers.
• Win at least one Constructors Championship.

Extra

Limit your available drivers even more by upping the age to 35! The more seasons you complete and play though your save file, the more drivers will age up and become eligible to your mature racing team.
